4/18/2020 0 Comments End of Season Wrap UpWe want to thank everyone who made our brief 2020 season a blast! Unfortunately due to the circumstances we were not able to show our game play at the annual WVC state championships or even the NCVF National tournament which was to be hosted in Kansas City. On top of not playing in those tournaments we will be losing a couple players as they will either be graduating this May 2020 or in December of 2020. We want to wish these players the best of luck and hopefully we will see you guys on the court in the future. The players are as follows: Jordan Killacky, PJ Appicelli, Nathan Steenstra, and Ryan Flerlage.

2/23/2020 0 Comments Midwest D2 InvitationalThe WSU-A team traveled to Menomonee Falls this weekend to battle it out against 19 other teams from conferences over the nation. The first day we finished 4-1 with giving UWLAX-A a big upset and only falling to MSU-Mankato. The second day we were not able to get our footing and lost to SIU-E in 3 sets, and then to UWEC-A in the first round of the championship bracket. The guys are looking to bounce back and fix all of the errors that were present in each game. Next up is our home tournament!
2/10/2020 0 Comments LaCrosse Playdate for the B teamThe B team traveled to LaCrosse to battle it out and score some points to improve their overall standing in the conference. We played University of Wisconsin- Whitewater B, University of Wisconsin- LaCrosse B, and University of Wisconsin- Stout B. We pulled off a win against Stout in 3 sets but fell just short of beating both Whitewater and LaCrosse. The B team is going to improve on all the parts that were lacking to improve their play this upcoming weekend in Appleton.
12/26/2019 0 Comments Eau Claire PreseasonThe men's team took one team to this preseason tournament to compete with other schools in the hopes of taking home the top spot. Unfortunately we were taken out in the first round of bracket as minor mistakes kept adding up over time. We pulled out 2nd in our pool only falling to the EC-Alumni team in the 3rd set. We are looking forward to working with another to build the bonds on and off the court and rise to a top spot in both state and national tournaments! We look forward and appreciate all of your support!
11/25/2019 0 Comments Warrior InvitationalBoth the A and B teams battled it out for the top place finish amongst 6 other teams on 11/24/19. The first showing for the B team included a hard fought day where they took crucial points off other schools yet fell in the first round of the bracket to the team that went home with the 1st place finish. The A team was able to dominate their pool only losing slightly to UW-Stout and made it to the semi-finals in the bracket. They faced off with the WSU Alumni and went to the third set and was not able to clinch the win. Taking 3rd place the A team is looking to bounce back when we travel to Eau Claire in our last tournament the 7th of December.
11/12/2019 0 Comments Eagle OpenWe started off strong barely losing to Oshkosh a team we didn't think we could run with. Final scores were 21-25 and 22-25. The last point of the second set our setter rolled his ankle and was taken out for the rest of the day. Already short on guys we had to scramble out of normal positions which affected the rest of the day. Not winning a match we used it as a learning experience and are now training multiple setters just in case for future injuries if they occur. We will bounce back at our home tournament!
The team traveled to Duluth over the weekend of 11/2/19. They were able to secure a 2nd place position only dropping to Bethel. In the pool play we were unable to resist the relentless attacks of Bethel and with a few errors we eventually dropped the match to them. After pool play we met them in the finals of the tournament and were able to hold each set but then falling 1-2 and taking the silver medal home. Great results for our first preseason tournament with many players being new to the game! Go Warriors!
